On Friday, Carl and I went to Olivia's Christmas party at school. It was VERY cute. 15 small kids singing and jingling bells, completely adorable. There are only 4 western kids in the class, the rest are Chinese, but during most of the singing, the western kids were hanging out playing near their parents while all the Chinese kids behaved perfectly. There has to be something psychological in that, just not sure what. Olivia definitely has a boyfriend, a Russian (we think) boy called Alexandre. He is wearing the white with blue and brown striped top; immediately after I took this photo, she threw herself at him and brought the two of them down to the floor. He didn't seem to mind!
The little kid with the bowtie was a total performer, although he will be mortified when he sees what his parents' dressed him in when he looks at these photos when he is older! Santa came and gave out presents but most of the kids are too small to really understand the concept and had to be encouraged to go and get a present. Olivia received a very nice large green soft fluffy turtle.
