Great Wall a Mutianyu

We took my parents out to the Great Wall at Mutianyu. It was also Carl's first official visit to the Wall. It was a beautiful day, and since Olivia didn't step once on the wall and was carried by Carl and myself the whole way, it was quite a workout for us.
There really are no flat bits on the wall, you are either climbing steps up or down. We saw a group of blind Chinese people hiking on the wall, this was very impressive since the rest of us were spending most of the time looking down at where we were putting our feet. Olivia was a hit as usual; it's amazing what the blonde hair and green eyes can do. Cross cultural relationship building. The Chinese get particularly excited when Olivia interacts with their kids; as she is understanding and speaking more Chinese now so it won't be long before she can act as our translator.
